Melanie is extremely passionate about using her skills, experience and education to make an impact in leadership development and growth, wherever possible. As an associate with the Shandel Group, Melanie guides individuals and organizations through their journey of leadership development via training and executive coaching as well as organizational development initiatives. 

She is a member of the Quinault Indian Nation and serves on the board of Native Action Network. Melanie is inspired to make a positive difference within her team, community and Indian Country. 

Before transitioning into consulting, she spent 17 years building a career in the Hospitality and Gaming industries, serving in many different capacities, including: Executive Leadership, Hospitality Management, Tribal Gaming, and Human Resources. She hold a BA in Hospitality Business Management and a MA in Organizational Leadership.
